General Tournament Rules
-
The Gamemaster's rulings are final and will not be questioned.
-
Any disregard of the rules will result in immediate disqualification and banning from the combat event.
-
Chaos, Order, and Faction disputes will be suspended during this event.
Please understand that there is nothing that can be done concerning kill points in regards to factions, so keep that in mind if you plan on attending this event.
-
Any disruption of the event by spectators and/or contestants will result in immediate banning/disqualification from the event. Any disruption from outside influences will also result in banning.
-
No Magic Armor or Weapons allowed. This event, and it's winner, will be based on skill with the game and knowledge of it's mechanics.
-
No interference in matches will be tolerated.
Spectators and Judges will not be allowed out of their specified areas.
Exception to the rule being a case where a judge must approach the combatants for event reasons.
-
Any attempt to enter the combat area, during an active match, will result in banishment w/o question. A judge will come to speak with the offending party and decide whether the ban will be lifted.
-
When a match is finished, the participants are invited to stay and observe the following matches or leave at his/her discretion.
-
The loser will be ressurected and may retrieve his items. At NO time will there be looting. This will result in a reprisal.
Banishment and Disqualification
Death, Banishment, and Disqualification
-
If anyone is found to be looting a contestants corpse and he is killed, the owner of the looted corpse will be free to loot the offending party's corpse without fear of disqualification or banishment.
-
The Gamemaster and judges reserve the right to snoop, and inspect, contestants for infractions of the rules.
Anyone found using magic weapons, armor, charged devices, etc.. will be disqualified and banned from the event area.
-
Don't bring any valuables, magic weapons, magic armor, or charged devices to the event. Even if you don't plan on using them. Leave them at home or in the bank.
-
Pets other than horses are not be allowed. This is a combat event, not an event judging who's pet has the best loyalty. None of the "Big 4" pets will be allowed in the event area.
-
All spectators will hide if capable. This is to reduce lag in the combat area. I would suggest picking up Invis Scrolls before coming to the event, if you are not capable of hiding without assistance.
-
Weapons may be poisoned (any level) during the match. ONLY during the match. Pre-poisoned weapons are still not allowed and will result in forfeiture of the match.
-
To decrease the amount of time a match takes, as well as to keep it more realistic, fighters that use shields will only be able to have 2 shields per match. If you think about it, this IS realistic. I've never seen or heard of anyone that can carry 20 shields, potions, weapons, etc.. and still be able to stand and walk. Realism would say that you could only carry one shield along with your equipment, so only 2 shields is not too much to ask. This is a per match basis, so, you may advance and start with two shields in your next match.
-
No Kegs will be allowed on contestants. Potion Bottles Only.
Maximum of 10 of each potion will be allowed for the entire tournament. This means from your first match to your final match you will only be allowed a total of 10 of each potion.
These are the Basic Rules of the Tournament. Disregard of these rules will not be tolerated. Ignorance of these rules will not be accepted.
They are posted, therefore they have been advised. Read them and know them.
