Being a healer, as good as she was, was a burden as much as a blessing. "Stand back Acacia!" was a regular battle cry for the members in her group. She did as she was told, though often times with her mace in her hand she envisioned beating them all with it as they slayed whatever the creature of the day happened to be. What was the point of HAVING a mace if the only time you got to use it was if they happened to let a stray orc get close enough for her to swing? They would stumble towards her battered and bloodied with that infamous word.. "HEAL!" .. Bah.. Often times she would think about it before actually doing it.. But the gems and gold were good so she stood in silence waiting for them to come to her. Making sure, however, that the spoils were divided equally. In her spare time (she did have a lot of it after all, often times battles would last for days, boy this was a blood thirsty lot) she studied magics. A stray fireball past the ear of their leader pretty much told everyone that Acacia was as ready for battle as any of them. They watched their tongues a bit more after that, and instead of "HEAL!" it became "Um, Acacia, most beautiful and brilliant, would it perhaps be too much trouble to cease the bleeding of this gaping head wound I have somehow aquired?" And though she still stood back (what use was a dead healer in the middle of a battle) she did so with a bit happier heart.
Seven years later her group disbanded. Although she would never tell them, she felt lost and alone. Not sure where to go or what to do, she headed back home. When she arrived her parents were happy to take her back in and happy to share in the riches she had brought back.
A year passed, and Acacia became restless once again. Then one day, a whole new world was revealed to her, a world called Sosaria. With the promised of new adventures she quickly packed her bags and said goodbye to her family once more. This time however, she would not go alone. Her brother John and sister Arisa wanted to accompany her. They made camp in a town called Delucia because it reminded them much of home.
She quickly learned that this world of Britannia was different than her other home. Her healing skills were diminished somehow, and it was as though she was starting all over again. She struggled though and worked hard. Then one day her life took its first turn that would change her forever. Her sister had acquired a house, and in that house, were these strange maps. Arisa’s interest in them was minimal, but Acacia decided she wanted to try to decipher it. Going to a local Cartographer she found out that it was a treasure map and he taught her how to read it. Then he mentioned she would have to learn how to pick locks and learn the ways of magic to open the box. She quickly ran back to the house and shared this news with her sister. Arisa showed her a box that was filled with other boxes that was stored in the attic. Acacia worked day and night until her finger bled to learn how to pick those locks. She forgot all the things she knew of healing as she quickly learned a few words and some reagents were much easier than bandages. Her skills with a mace had tapered off and she replaced them with those of a harp. Finally she was ready.
Needless to say, when Acacia found the place the treasure was located, and got the chest open, she fell in love with treasure hunting and the jewels inside. She eagerly sought more maps, and more locks to pick.
About this time her family had started to separate. John had decided he’d had enough of Britannia and wanted a new whole to explore. He packed his things sold his house in Yew and left quickly one night. He didn’t even really say goodbye.
Arisa then decided to create a guild to replace the family that they missed so much. The purple cows started off well enough. They had a couple members, including one James McKnight, but as things go, while the stone remained the guild did not.
Acacia was wandering her sister’s neighborhood when her life took its second turn. There, two doors down from her sister’s home. In a spot that she had tried to get builders to put a house in so many times before and was refused, stood a lovely marble workshop. As she stood there in disbelief and frustration she noticed in the villa in back of it stood two women and a man. Rose Brightblade, Savannah, and Timid. Rose had often yelled at the sisters to keep it quiet over in their cabin as the walls were quite thin. But this was the first time Acacia had ever really spoken to her. They told her of a guild, a family called LSD. They told her there were too many men and they needed more estrogen in the guild. They told her to fill out an application. Acacia said she would think about it and went back home to sleep. Two days passed and finally she decided to apply to join. She asked her sister’s permission to resign from the purple cows, which Arisa granted. She then carefully filled out the application sending pigeons to Timid frequently. Her application was accepted and she joined LSD within the week. It still felt strange however to not have her sister by her side. Arisa joined within the weeks that followed.
As Acacia moved up the ranks under the guidance of Rose she discovered that while the guild was wonderful, her first love wasn’t a part of it. She went to the Baron and discussed this matter. He helped her to create a new unit that was already a part of the guild’s history. The Dark Crusade, the treasure hunters of LSD.
Arisa was Acacia’s first member to join the new unit, and also the first to leave. One winter day Arisa told Acacia that she no longer wanted to live in Britannia, she wanted to start her life anew. Acacia said that she couldn’t imagine life here without Arisa. She begged her to stay. She didn’t want to go through that feeling of loneliness again, the feeling she had when her first group had gone separate ways. Arisa calmly gave the keys to her house to her and said that Acacia already had a new family and good friends in LSD. She would never be lonely. Arisa was right.
