Kate Middleton recycled some of her favorite wardrobe items to mark her return to Wimbledon.

Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the prestigious sporting event for the first time since 2019, after COVID-19[female[feminine led to the cancellation of last year’s event.

The 39-year-old royal arrived in style for day five of the tournament, ready to get to work behind the scenes at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Middleton, a keen tennis fan, joined British tennis player Tim Henman to watch a match on the outside courts before taking her place in the royal box on Center Court alongside Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.

The sunny day at Wimbledon provided ample opportunity to dust off a pair of his tried and tested Ray-Ban sunglasses she has been wearing since 2018. “Youngster” style in matte black rubber feature square nylon frames and gray polarized lenses that block 99% of reflected light to eliminate glare and minimize eye glare.

To complete her outfit, Middleton also wore it Smythe Duchess Jacket ($858 CAD/$695) a piece she had in her wardrobe since 2011, a polka dot skirt from Alessandra Rich (CA$763/US$618)) and some of her favorite Simone Rocha faux pearl jewelry (sold out).

Although there is generally no traditional dress code for Wimbledon, Evian, the tournament’s official sponsor, has encouraged all celebrity guests to opt for eco-friendly looks. According to an Evian directiveVIP guests are encouraged to wear looks from sustainable brands or recycle and re-wear their favorite wardrobe pieces.

As club boss, upon arriving at the tournament, Middleton visited the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and met executive chef Adam Fargin, who along with his team helped prepare 200 meals a day for those affected by COVID -19 in their community.
