Luxottica Group and CDFG join forces to launch Prada for Asia sunglasses

CHINA. The Luxottica Group has partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) for the launch of the Prada for Asia sunglasses line at the Sanya International Duty Free shopping complex in Haitang Bay.

The launch reinforces the eyewear company’s strategy to offer styles specifically developed for Asian customers. Prada for Asia sunglasses are the latest addition to the Italian fashion brand’s Prada Cinéma collection.

Prada for Asia sunglasses feature an oversized silhouette and matching enamel finishes. It comes in four colors.

Prada for Asia sunglasses style presents a new contemporary oversized frame. The square-shaped silhouette style is described as flattering to Asian customers, while its shaded lenses provide UVA / UVB protection. The sunglasses are decorated with matching enamel finishes and a front bar, while the temples are engraved with the Prada logo.

It is available in four colors and offers adjustable nose pads for universal fit.

The launch of glasses exclusively in Asia is supported by an O2O campaign which will run by the end of June. It showcases high-end LED display cases and custom booths at various high-traffic locations in CDF Mall.

Luxottica and CDFG also collaborated on the digital marketing behind the launch through the retailer’s social channels, specifically Weibo.

CDFG and Luxottica are also promoting the launch online through the retailer’s social channels.
