Like all of you, we’ve made a lot of adjustments over the past few weeks while getting used to our new normal of working remotely here at vogue in the fashion department. One of the ways we’ve started to find our footing is through our various newly formed routines – morning meetings being the most consistent and joyful, Team Zoom dressing once a week being a close second .
This week the team is back with a double theme to hopefully double your fun. Is it just us or does this show get a little dumber every week? We started with a plethora of hats, then moved on to stripes (including a work-from-home bikini top) now what? We’re here to try on sunglasses indoors. We hope our happiness is contagious because we can all use a little bright spot in our day. Nothing lifts a mood quite like the lovely warming shade of tinted specs, even if indoors and, for most of us on the East Coast, what was a particularly rainy day. When you commit to letting go of reality, you commit! Plus, there’s certainly no better form of concealment (fashion wizard Nathan Watson points out that it’ll save you money on anti-aging eye cream!). Many of us matched our pairs with another instant mood-changing lipstick. There’s nothing quite like the power of a good lipstick to help bring a level of polish and finish to a look. It’s just the confidence boost we need to feel ready to face some of our days, even if that day takes place only within the confines of our home.
