Timothée Chalamet, passionate about Haider Ackermann, has done it again. The actor appeared at the Venice Film Festival for the Dune World premiere on September 3 wearing the French designer head to toe in black sequins, after landing in the Italian town wearing a Haider Ackermann hoodie (which he pinned vintage Cartier brooches on) for his press conference at the ‘afternoon.
At the premiere, Chalamet transformed into a bespoke Ackermann look. He wore matching tailored black pants and a long-sleeved crew neck, both adorned with shiny pearls. The top was punctuated by a white crew-neck shirt underneath, which protruded from the neckline like a priest’s collar. On his wrists, where the white shirt also showed: a vintage Cartier onyx and diamond brooch crafted in 18k white gold. Of course, Chalamet added Cartier rings to the look – two jewels on his index and middle finger are practically a signature at this point, and the actor is the house’s last collaborator – a designation described by the House as a “friend of the house”. Naturally, her rings matched the brooch.
And to top it off, Chalamet wore a pair of Prada sunglasses that he didn’t take off once he walked down to the red carpet with the rest of his Dune the cast, which includes Zendaya (who donned a breathtaking custom Balmain dress), Oscar Isaac, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and director Denis Villeneuve. The latter arrived at the film festival earlier the same day with Chalamet on the same water taxi.
Following the screening of Dune, in which Chalamet plays the character of Paul Atréides, the actor had the opportunity to show the real advantage of his outfit. Under a beam of spotlights inside the theater, he greeted the cheering crowd, sparkling and shining with every move he made.
